It has been a bit of a gap since my last post. It is almost time to present the final product. All animation is complete with sound effects in place. All we need to do now are the voices and burn it on DVD.

The ball is rolling

I have teamed up with James Hay. He will be working on mostly sound and some imagery while I will be concentrating on the characters and the animation.

I have been using a flash type program to create the characters. Animation of them should be a simple task. I am not too fond of the look of flash animation. Motion looks rigid and unnatural. Originally I was planning on drawing each frame individually, but that may take more time than available.

I now have the characters complete. Next is to start animating them.

This is going to be the first shot of my cartoon. It is a long shot of the Cowboy that zooms into a closeup of his face. He will be having a quick draw shootout with another cowboy with an amusing ending...... Hopefully.

Assignment 3a

So far my plan for Assignment 3 is to create a short cartoon. Animation is something I have wanted to get into for a long time. Of all the ideas that are floating around my head I have decided to settle with a cowboy character I made up a few years ago. I figured it would be easy to come up with a short , do-able, story.

This blog will be dedicated to my Introduction to Multimedia subject, in particular Assignment's 3a and 3b.
